The University of Piraeus was founded as a "School of Industrial Studies" in 1938 by the Association of Industrialists and Craftsmen, in accordance with the Law N.5197/1931 and the A.N. 28/1936, in association with the Federation of Public Limited Companies Greece intending to provide economic, legal and technical education to industrial executives.

Asderaki Foteini

Foteini Asderaki is an Associate Professor of European Integration Theory and European Educational Policy at the Department of International and European Studies, University of Piraeus. She is the elected Chair of the European Security and Defence College Doctoral School, European External Action Service for a two-year tenure (2019-21). She holds a Jean Monnet Chair on European Union Policies in Education, Training, Research and Innovation issued by the European Commission in 2016.

Pantelidis Pantelis

Pantelis Pantelidis is Professor at the Department of Economics and Vice-Rector of Academic, Administrative and Students Affairs of the University of Piraeus.
He holds a B.A. from Athens University of Economics and Business (1978) and M.A. (1980) and Ph.D. (1983) from Wayne State University. His research interests lie in the fields of International Economics and International Business. His research has been presented at international conferences and published in international scientific journals.
