Despoina Sakka
Professor, President of the Gender Equality Committee
Despina Sakka, Professor in Social Psychology, Dpt of Primary Education, School of Education Studies. She has a thirty-five-year research experience in national or international research programs (total:18) financed by the EEC and the Greek State on issues such as gender identities, ethno-cultural minorities, applied social research and Action Research in marginal populations and/or schools. Part of the research data in the above programs was used as the basis for the design and implementation of intervention strategies in mainstream schools in order to promote gender and ethno-cultural equality. She is the co-author of two books (in greek) on gender identities during adolescence and the author or co-author of several national or international journal articles.
