Mayor
Mr. Kleanthis Mandalianos is the Μayor of the Municipality of Kordelio-Evosmos, the second largest municipality in Northern Greece, and one of the largest in the country. He participated in the recent municipal elections and was elected mayor, with the vision of a modern urban municipality, which can become an example for others to follow, ensuring a better quality of life for its citizens: "A modern city that, following the European developments, focuses on the human being and the upgrading of the environment".
He has put high on his agenda the promotion of sustainable mobility and the implementation of innovative measures at local level that will contribute to the protection of the urban environment and the development of a new mobility model.
The aim of the interventions is to enhance the accessibility to alternative means of transport, to improve safety, to reduce air pollution and energy consumption and to improve public spaces for both residents and visitors.
