Mr. Karkavitsas is an Urban & Spatial Planner and Transport Engineer with broad experience in project development, implementation and management in the Transportation field. He used to be Head of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Department of the Thessaloniki Transport Authority. He also worked on the development of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of the Metropolitan Area of Thessaloniki, the first SUMP in Greece. Today, he is the Director of the Regional Development Department in LEVER Development Consultants S.A., involved in strategic projects related to sustainable urban development co-financed by the EU.
